Here at Reforming Foundations, we know that bodies are complex which is why we offer movement strategies to help our community do the things they love to do. This carries over into our teacher training program. We know that not every Pilates exercise is appropriate for every body. This is why we are teaching teachers differently. We studied the traditional repertoire and we modernized this ever-evolving method to be more firmly rooted in movement science. Our method offers strategies to promote healing, create strength, build endurance, and support controlled mobility while improving the mind-body connection. Ultimately, we help you help your clients do the things they love to do! In our course you will:

Our group equipment classes utilize all of the Pilates equipment and focus on the quality of movement. Within each class, you’ll refine your Pilates practice and provide your body the challenge it craves. Because our primary focus is giving our clients a safe workout focused on alignment and movement techniques, each class has a max capacity of 6 people. Keeping classes small allows our instructors to focus and care for each body participating in the class.
RF Pilate Equipment Classes
INTRO TO PILATES
Do you want to learn the Pilates method of movement in a small and encouraging group environment? Then this class is for you! You will learn movement foundations to set your Pilates practice up for success. You will learn how to use the equipment, and how to stay safe! Don’t you worry! We will still challenge you and deliver an amazing workout every class!
Prerequisites: Must be in good health, no injuries, or recent surgeries.
Requirements: Minimum of 4 Intro classes and instructor approval required for your safety and consideration of our members to move into any other Pilates equipment classes. We recommend FOUNDATIONS class next. Grip socks are required. Your first pair is complementary when you get started with RF!
FOUNDATIONS
This equipment-based class is for you if you have some Pilates experience, do not have any injuries, and are looking to build upon your Pilates practice. You will learn Pilates movement foundations to set you up for success as you grow in your practice. The more experience you gain the harder this class will be as you learn to initiate the movement exactly as it was intended. Expect to improve your core strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and posture. If you’d like to move a little faster and feel like you have mastered sound Pilates techniques try our REFORM class.
REFORM
This class is for you if you have mastered sound Pilates technique and are looking to challenge your Pilates practice by taking it up a notch or two. In this moderately paced class, we focus on moving through challenging, sustained Pilates sequences that center on strength, endurance, balance, and flow. Expect a total body workout that brings your muscles to fatigue, increases your stamina and leaves you feeling stronger after every class. Looking to add cardio? Check out our POWER class.
POWER
This class is for you if you are looking to add cardio to your Pilates practice. Challenge yourself with fast paced, higher intensity Pilates movements that will get your heart pumping.
Utilizing the jumpboard, resistance bands, hand weights and other Pilates props, this fitness and cardio class will deliver a high-intensity, full body workout that addresses both strength and stability. Expect to work every muscle group to fatigue and leave feeling like you can conquer anything! Want something just as challenging without the Jumpboard or cardio work? Try our REFORM class.
Prerequisites: We take the health of our client very seriously; you must have the ability to maintain total body integration of Pilates principles. No injuries or persons with hip or knee joint replacements are permitted to jump on the reformer.
Are you pregnant and you have been practicing Pilates? Congratulations! We do require your doctor’s approval to continue practicing Pilates. You may continue in this class during your first trimester. Feeling great and want to stay in, awesome! Schedule your complimentary prenatal Pilates one on one session to learn some key modifications and movement guidelines so you can safely continue this class during your second trimester. Once you get to your third trimester, we’d love to help you prepare your body for labor and delivery and we recommend individualized sessions tailored just for you!
RESET
We believe core strength and stability are the foundation to every exercise. This class focuses on mat Pilates and standing bodyweight strength training to build core strength, endurance, and mobility. You will improve your mind-body connection, bone density, and balance too! These exercises strengthen your core, train you in focused breathing patterns throughout, and produce total body mobility. We incorporate various Pilates props (Ultra-Fit Circle®, bands, free weights, foam rollers, balls, etc.) to both assist and challenge the exercises. Mat classes will help improve your flexibility, muscle tone, balance, spinal support, performance, and mind-body awareness! Looking for more of an amped up experience try RECHARGE. *Grip socks and grip mat towel are required.
RELEASE
This RF branded class designed by our owner Brooke focuses on intentional breathwork, includes a gratitude practice, guided meditation, inspirational reading, journaling, total body mobility for an immersive experience in releasing trauma and stress.
RECHARGE
This amped up mat Pilates class is designed to challenge you with fast paced explosive movement in our Pilates strength and conditioning class. This low impact cardio and core class combines leg and core strength and stability. We merge Pilates fundamentals with a quick series of explosive movements. Expect to work every muscle group to fatigue and build stamina, strength and endurance. Want something just as challenging without the jumping, try RESET.
Mat Classes
CORE STABILITY
This class is for you if you’re looking for intentional, core challenging movement that improves your coordination, addresses asymmetries, and helps you gain better posture and overall alignment. Expect a phenomenal total body workout that challenges your balance and stability in multiple body positions and kicks your butt all without the use of spinal movement!*
*Core Stability was created with every BODY in mind in order to provide an accessible class experience for those who have a history of spinal pathology (degenerative disc disease, stenosis, sciatica, scoliosis, spinal surgery, osteoporosis, etc.) and need to maintain a neutral spine to prevent a flare-up. But don’t be fooled, this class is for everyone. Spinal stability is just as important as spinal mobility!
STRENGTH & LONGEVITY
This class is perfect for those looking for a gentle training method with lower impact. It involves a series of exercises that teach you how to activate and coordinate several muscle groups at once to increase mobility, balance and overall strength to promote longevity! Expect to leave feeling revitalized and stronger for your everyday life.
Prerequisites: You must be able to safely move and operate all Pilates equipment independently.
BARRE
Pilates meets dance for a functional training workout. Sculpt the arms, legs, abs and derrière with relevés, pliés and a whole lot of attitudes. No tutu or dance experience required. All fitness levels are welcome.
RESTORE
Take your time and deepen the mobility experience in our restore class. This class has a focus on spinal and joint mobility; and muscle recovery all with the benefits of holding sustained stretches. Find mobility, flexibility and time to feel yourself in each move as your instructor helps you focus on your breath, your mindset and your wellbeing. Feel recovered and rejuvenated in this 50-minute class dedicated to stretching and mobility!
GYROKINESIS®
Method is designed to support every body! GYROKINESIS® is practiced with only a mat and chair using your own proprioception to explore movement sequences that awaken the body and bring you into greater balance. This movement focuses your breath to stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system. You will feel an overall sense of calm, well-being, and mental clarity and leave this class feeling more flexible, agile, and balanced. Whether you are an athlete, fitness enthusiast, looking for longevity, or recovering from injury you will love how your body feels after every class!
INFRARED CLASSES 🔥 🔥 🔥
We are amping up the Pilates Mat repertoire with a detoxifying boost of Infrared heat. Our high-energy, endurance-building workout will get your muscles shaking and leave you dripping in sweat and leaving class fully energized.
With Infrared heat the body works to cool itself, there is a substantial increase in heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate, causing the body to burn calories. In this 50-minute class, you will burn around 600 calories, promoting weight loss, strength and endurance.

IGNITE 🔥
New to Infrared or Hot Pilates, try this class first! We will light your fire with the intentional pace of this class allowing you to focus on your form and work you to a quiver. This is the class for you if you crave mindful movement and would like to fine tune your form while still being challenged. Want to move a little faster and feel like you have mastered sound Pilates technique try HEAT.
HEAT 🔥 🔥
This strength training mat Pilates class will deliver a total body burn. You will move through challenging, sustained Pilates sequences bringing your muscles to fatigue resulting in strength, endurance and increased stamina. The look? Long, lean sculpted muscles. Love the challenge but looking to add cardio? Try FIRE. Sounds great, but you would like to master form and alignment, take our IGNITE class.
FIRE 🔥 🔥 🔥
Combine endurance and strength in this 50-minute-high energy infrared strength and conditioning class. Focus is on a full body workout alternating resistance exercises and cardiovascular exercise. You’ll burn calories, increase strength and endurance and leave feeling energized and confident you got a great workout in all while feeling the benefits of infrared! *Indoor studio or gym shoes required.
MELT 🔥
We are slowing down and intensifying our Restore class and adding the detoxifying boost of Infrared heat. This class has a focus on core strength, spinal mobility and muscle recovery all with the benefits of infrared heat. Recovery is defined as the return to a normal state of mind and health. Infrared heat penetrates the tissues, joints, and muscles. This helps to relieve soreness, fatigue and promotes muscle recovery. Pain management professionals incorporate infrared heat therapy into treatment to decrease pain and to speed up recovery time. Find mobility, flexibility, and time to feel yourself in each move as your instructor helps you focus on your breath, your mindset and your wellbeing. Pilates Class FAQs
Will I be safe in a class at RF?
Our classes are limited to 6 persons, we have a medi air filter in every room, and we require masks at all times. Our goal at RF is to provide you a warm, safe community to feel connected, and get your workout your body craves!
I do not have experience, can I try a class?
No, you may not! We require one-on-one sessions before we graduate you to our classes. Pilates is a little like learning a foreign language. It takes time to learn the skill and progress into a group training environment.
What equipment will we use?
We use Balance Body Allegro 2 Reformers, jumpboards, Pilates arcs, and the Springboards designed by Ellie Herman, and of course, the mat! We love our props too, we believe these add a challenge and also help assist at times. These include Pilates rings, balls, bands, and free weights.
Whose teaching style will I like?
We have a wide variety of instructors on our team, some prefer a quiet sneaky burn, others exude energy when you walk in the room. But rest assured, you will get an amazing workout every time. We are like the flavors of ice cream, all different, but amazing. Try all themes for a varied experience and feel the RF way through and through.
