We love welcoming new faces at Reforming Foundations! Upon entering our lobby, you’ll be greeted by a friendly staff member who will guide you into classes, whether you are beginning or continuing your Pilates journey.
Our Rochester studio is in a very accessible area of Downtown Rochester, located just off University Drive, between Walnut and Pine. Coming from Auburn Hills it’s a short 10-minute drive east on Walton, which becomes University Drive. We are surrounded on all sides by beautiful parks and the downtown strip of Main Street. The studio is sandwiched between an eclectic mix of antique shops, restaurants, galleries, clothing boutiques, an ice cream parlor and a ski shop. Surrounding communities in Troy, Shelby Township, and Sterling Heights are a short drive away. The challenging 18-hole golf course at Great Oaks Country Club is just around the corner and our Pilates classes are a great way to burn off the tempting morsels offered by our next door neighbor, The Cheese Lady.

Pilates Classes and Sessions in Rochester
Our spacious Rochester location allows for larger mat, fitness, and wellness classes than our original Berkley location, but they are still limited. To give students the personalized attention that Reforming Foundations classes are known for, group classes are limited to six people in equipment classes and 20 in mat classes.
We recommend that your Pilates practice begins with the Foundations and Core Stability classes. Core Stability helps strengthen the spinal support muscles to support a neutral spine while performing challenging movements with your legs and arms. When you learn to strengthen your core stabilizers during neutral spine exercises, you develop a strong stable core for subsequent classes that increase segmental mobility of your spine.
We offer a variety of classes on Balanced Body™ Pilates equipment, including the beloved Clinical Pilates Reformer with the Trapeze Tower, and Pilates chair. All of the Reforming Foundations classes utilize this equipment.
These machines can look intimidating at first, but you will quickly become comfortable under the guidance of our skilled and intuitive teachers.
Looking for a more personalized experience? Try one of our one-on-one or duet sessions! For more information and a personal tour of the studio, call (248) 469-4439.
Physical Therapy at Reforming Foundations Rochester

About Rochester, Michigan
The village of Rochester was formed in 1869, but didn’t become a city until 1967. Though the city of Rochester now boasts a population of over 12,000 people, it has stayed true to its small-town roots. The farmer’s market on Saturday mornings from May to October brings local farmers, craftsmen and small businesses to the corner of E. Third and Water streets, attracting citizens and visitors alike who appreciate the quaint and wholesome atmosphere. The annual Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade, held since 1951, is the largest Christmas parade in Michigan and draws spectators from far and wide. Rochester is home to numerous significant historical buildings built in the late 1800s, like the Rolling Sprague Building, the Opera House, and Western Knitting mills.
